Stated that he was trying to watch the race but they’ve been off TV for so long and that he had been trying to get it on the computer but hasn’t been able to get it to work.
Meanwhile, the #22 Nissan hit a large chunk of debris somewhere on Mulsanne Straight that ripped the front bodywork off the car.

Does LeMans always have this much carnage?

So far I’d say it seems really clean for this far into the race

One Corvette destroyed in qualifying, one Porsche nearly destroyed in an illegal pass, one Porsche destroyed in a fire, one Nissan maimed by debris...
It’s not deadly like last year, and that’s a good thing, but the cars seem to be getting hammered.

Well, I’m not an expert and I don’t really watch the race, but it sounds like quite a few cars have been seriously messed up. Without digging, all I can remember about last year was the tragic loss Aston Martin suffered (I think that was LeMans).

Yeah normally there is considerably more crashing. It’s early though, yet, and overnight it can get worse especially with gentlemen drivers in Ferraris lol

Watch the 2011 race.
And no one died last year. That was 2013.

It’s horrible coverage for sure, they don’t even talk about stuff going on, like how did the #19 Porsche climb to 2nd? And no mention so far of the #8 Audi crash when they started their broadcast back up. It’s infuriating to say the least.

Good. People not dying is great.

Good for Gurney - call them out. We get rerun track and field instead of the biggest motorsport event on the planet... I don’t understand it - seems like a horrible business decision.

They screwed the pooch this year, especially since this is the first year that the feed is providing full coverage for 24hrs (normally it goes to limited camera shots during the night hours). Between the Foxsports Go issues and the fact that they switch channels every 5 min.
One, they need to have FS2 in HD if they want to show the race on that channel and two, they need to have at minimum 6 hr blocks per channel if they want to switch between them. Also, if they want to show multiple WWC games, they should utilize other Fox owned channels to lessen the conflicts on the sports channels like NBC does with its soccer coverage and Turner does with college basketball and NBA
